Hoo boy, Mr. Lemony's out out town visiting his sick mom. She's clearly not well but the good news is that she's doing better. Her health has been wobbly for years but she's got the most wonderful doctors I've ever seen - they're smart, dedicated and have the greatest bedside manner imaginable. She's being taken care of well.
And although it hardly compares, I've also come down with my annual Thanksgiving illness.
I think I've got the flu. THAT'LL teach me to keep getting the shots in October! OY. I've spent most of the past 24 hours in bed and I'm genuinely looking forward to my kids fending for themselves ANY WAY THEY CHOOSE. Which means nonstop video games and Pop Tarts. FINE, just stay out of the Disease Room.
So weird. I ALWAYS get sick at Thanksgiving.
So here's a little holiday cheer my son just shared with me.
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!

Hope you feel better soon.
That's no way to spend Thanksgiving! Hope you feel better soon.
Awww hope you feel better soon! I did the flu thing on Thanksgiving once only we decided to make it a family affair. Me, hub, 12 and 2 yr old sons and 7 month old baby girl child... all with the damn flu. And I still cooked the whole freaking turkey dinner. No idea why I was such a masochist at the time...
Ok Rick Astley is CREAPY but the guy channeling him is FUNNY! Get well soon

Thats a link to the "literal" version of the Aha's "Take On Me". The same guy also does one for the Red Hot Chili Peppers "Under The Bridge" and Tears For Fears "Head Over Heels".
Feel better!
