I met Dooce! I went to her book signing with a whole bunch of awesome, awesome Mile High Mamas. I saw other pals and met some new ones. I have photos and details but no time now to upload and properly link. That'll be my first post.
I took my family to another high altitude event, the Mile High Flea Market and saw the fruits of a thousand cheesy Chinese knockoff factories! We actually went twice because the first day we tried, the place was closed due to WIND. We saw tumbleweeds skittle across the freeway! It was awesome!
We saw baby goats! Who knew baby goats could be so unbelievably cute? The entire Lemony family melted when the tiny white goatlet uttered "maaaaaaa".
I bought and returned a jacket I thought was really cute and distinctive. I returned it because evidently, a boatload of other women also thought it was cute and distinctive. I ran women wearing said cute and distictive jacket everywhere I went. I replaced it with something far more generic.
I won a prize! I won the lovely and talented Vanessa's contest because I saw the weirdest thing ever. More on all that soon.
I fought a major battle with Børn Shoes' customer service team. Clearly, Børn's customer service serves Børn, not their customers. I'm inclined to spread the word to boycott Børn. Yes, watch this space for a MAJAH rant! Also, I sure do like using my special "ø" character.
My daughter has chosen a college! We're all very pleased with her choice.
And of course, I've done battle with laundry and furry dust bunnies. But you already knew that.
Stay tuned! Pictures at 11:00!

Well! I'm pleased about all your field tripping, but bumming about the shoe fiasco and the jacket. How horrible to love something and have everyone else wear it too. Gr!
I can't wait to hear about Dooce and see photos.
Congrats to Miss E for choosing her school!
Smooches honey!!!! When are we going to get time to talk again?
Yay for Miss E. Shortman's orientation/registration was today and oh mah holy hell he is excited. Just seeing his smile when he met up with us was AWESOME.
I can't believe I missed out on Dooce! I need to get my head out of the sand every once and awhile!
Details, woman. We need details!
Do you have a lot to say! Glad she has made a selection of colleges that goes over well with her AND the family. The goats? I really want an alpaca.
Baby goats are adorable. I once ordained one as a cleric in the ministry.
And congratulations on the college choice.
We are waiting ... (that sound you hear is my impatient foot tapping.)
OK - so fess up already!
Where's Emily heading? Can you hear Ralphie calling in the distance? Tell her Cheyenne Arapahoe was an awesome dorm, though I'm not sure you can find a bad one...
You DO have a lot to blog about - keep 'em coming!
